In our 14 years together, we’ve faced many challenges growing up from teenagers to adults, strengthening our love and relationship. We first met in high school through mutual friends and instantly connected. We talked for hours over the phone the day before our first date. When Andy picked me up for our first date, I immediately felt he wasn’t into me because he was awkwardly quiet (after talking my ear off the previous day). Little did I know, he was in love-struck, leaving him speechless. If you know Andy, he’s not a quiet person! During our drive that day, we saw a double rainbow which finally broke Andy’s awkward silence. He stated then that it was a sign of fate and good luck in our relationship. Funny to say, but I agree. It was and is meant to be. Sometimes, things don’t go as planned, but we can make beauty out of it together. This leads to Andy’s proposal during our vacation in Australia. Nothing went as he had planned. During our last night in Port Macquarie, he arranged for us to have dinner and end the early evening with a romantic beach sunset proposal. Instead, after dinner, I decided to have ice cream while watching the dolphins swim in the river. Andy patiently waited and waited, and soon, the sun had vanished. He was adamant that we must go to the beach that evening. When we arrived, the beach was empty, calm, and quiet. Andy got down on one knee and proposed to me under the beautiful moonlight, and it was perfect. Things don’t always go as planned, but we can make beauty out of it together. We are excited for our next chapter as husband and wife, forever partners.
