They were set up on a blind date by two of their close friends (shoutout to Drew Hines & Emily Pynes!). At that time, Andrew was living in Omaha and working on his business, and Hannah was living in Lincoln working as a marriage and family therapist. When Andrew initially called to ask Hannah on a date, she said she couldn't because she was going to be out of the country. Andrew thought this excuse was a little extreme ... she could just say 'no' instead of fabricating an international trip to avoid a blind date, but Hannah assured him she was actually going on a mission trip, and could go on a date the following week. That Friday, Andrew picked Hannah up and they went for drinks at two places, which could not be more opposite experiences: A nice rooftop bar at the Scarlet Hotel, followed by an absolute dive bar: Harry’s Wonder Bar. Hannah loved Harry's, and Andrew was excited to meet a beautiful small-town girl who loved her Catholic faith and frosty mugs as much as he did! There was instant chemistry, wonderful conversation, many laughs, and a little bit of chaos. They both left that date lighthearted and with an undeniable connection. Andrew didn't wait long to ask Hannah on a second date, and the next week they went to a hockey game and shared their first kiss ♡ Over the following weeks, they enjoyed dinner dates, swing dancing, and country concerts. Andrew officially asked Hannah to be his girlfriend on February 21, 2025. The following months were full of many fun adventures and consistent quality time, and Andrew and Hannah celebrated their 30th and 27th birthdays in March with a big party and wonderful family and friends. Andrew moved to Lincoln in May, and the distance between each other decreased from one hour to ten minutes away. They began to settle in to more ordinary life together, enjoying simple evenings grilling and getting to know each other in deeper ways. Throughout the spring and summer, they shared more adventures such as country concerts, county fairs, shooting guns, golfing, lake days, pool days, going on walks, cooking and sharing meals together, and weekend trips with family and friends (Andrew is 2nd youngest of 8 siblings; Hannah is 2nd oldest of 5 sisters). Andrew and Hannah took a trip to Chicago in August, and throughout the fall they enjoyed tailgating at Husker football games, going on back-road drives, soaking in sunsets, and making more memories together. On January 9, 2026, Andrew picked Hannah up for a date night, and after dinner, some last-second 'change in plans' had them driving out to Wahoo to help her parents 'take down Christmas lights' (not Hannah's idea of a date night!). Little did Hannah know, Andrew had something else planned. With the help of some priest friends, they found Hannah's hometown Catholic church unlocked with Adoration set up. Andrew proposed on January 9, 2026 💍 , and Hannah said 'Yes'! Afterwards, they drove out to Hannah's parents' house where friends and family were waiting to celebrate and soak in the special night :) We feel so blessed, and we are extremely grateful for all of our wonderful family and friends in our lives, who have been with each of us along the way. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you on our wedding day! Cheers to July 11, 2026! With Love ♡ Andrew & Hannah
