Train

Irish Rail - Travelling from Dublin

There is a direct train from Dublin (Heuston) station to Waterford (Plunkett) station. To get from Dublin Airport to the Dublin Train Station, you can take a taxi, or there is the Airlink 747 Express Bus. Tickets for the Airlink 747 Express Bus can be bought online, directly from the driver, from their airport desk, or from the ticket vending machines at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. You will receive a discount when purchasing your ticket online for the Bus and Train. Most trains and busses offer free Wi-Fi as well as outlets for charging.

Irish Rail - Travelling from Cork

The easiest way to get from Cork Airport to the Cork Train Station is a taxi. It’s about a 5 mile drive from the airport to the train station . There is no direct train from Cork (Kent) train station to Waterford (Plunkett) station. You will need to either stop and change in Dublin or Limerick. Your one ticket will include this stop and change of train, you will not need to purchase two tickets. The train does offer free Wi-Fi and have outlets for charging.

Bus Èireann

The most direct way from Shannon to Waterford is by bus. You will need to stop and change busses in Limerick. You can get on the bus directly outside the terminal. You can buy tickets for the bus at the self serve kiosk in the Arrivals Hall or on the bus itself. Most busses offer free Wi-Fi and outlets for charging.

Travel Note

J.J. Kavanagh & Sons Bus - Travelling from Dublin

This bus will take you from Dublin airport to the Parnell Street taxi stand in Waterford city. This bus does make a few stops along the way but there is no switching of busses. If booked online this bus is €30 round trip.
