If you are a U.S. citizen, you will not need a visa to travel to France. Please make sure your passport is not expired!
Our wedding is on Saturday, September 28. Guests who are invited to stay at the venue should check-in at the venue on Thursday, September 26. Taking jet lag into account, we recommend arriving in France a day or two early to adjust to the time zone difference.
The best way to get to Château Sentout from Bordeaux (airport or train station) is via car. We recommend either renting a car or taking an Uber/taxi to the venue, which is about a 30 minute drive (12 miles) from Bordeaux city center.
The low temperature drops down to 13°C (around 55°F), typical for autumn. During the day, the highs still get up to 25°C (around 77°F), so summer clothing like short-sleeved shirts and shorts are still appropriate. Bring along a jacket or light sweater for the evening hours, especially for outdoor activities.
We are not planning to provide specific shuttle/transportation services for guests to/from the venue for the wedding. We recommend renting a car (our venue is a ~30 minute drive from Bordeaux city center). Alternatively, Uber/taxis are abundant in the region.
Unlike in the US, it is customary in France for all guests to be served the same meal unless you have a dietary restriction/food allergy. The main dish at our wedding will be duck, along with an assortment of hors d'oeuvres (poultry, vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan). We will not be serving red meat. Please communicate in your RSVP if you or any of your guests have dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, etc.) or specific food allergies so that we can accommodate accordingly.
If your invitation was addressed for you and a guest, then yes. If the invitation is addressed solely to you, we kindly ask that you attend solo to help us manage the guest list. If you have any specific questions about your invitation, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Yes, we would love to celebrate with your little ones, and you should be able to list your child(ren) as guest(s) on your RSVP. Please keep in mind, however, that we are not able to provide babysitting/child care services during the wedding or over the weekend.
Cocktail attire: For the men, suits with a button-down (tie optional). For the ladies, a cocktail dress, mid-length dress, jumpsuit, or floor-length dress.

Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Lodging & Activties’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, restaurants and museums to visit before or after the wedding.
We understand the cost to travel and time off from work may be too much for some. Please join us if you are able, but we completely understand if you cannot. If you are unable to attend, we would be grateful if you could RSVP and let us know at the earliest opportunity so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
