North Shore Food Crawl!!!
Our favorite thing to do in Hawaii is to eeeeat! And North Shore has some great places to eat. Marla's personal fave is Matsumoto Shaved Ice (their mochi balls!!!:). Foodland for Poke !!!
Marla and Andrew's favorite thing to eat in Hawaii is Poke!! Our fave spot on Oahu is Foodland, but Andrew's bestie (and Oahu local) Kelvin says Safeway is better. So you can decide. 👀 *Pictured: Shoyu Ahi, Spicy Ahi x2, Shoyu Salmon Poke bowls + side of garlic and cucumbers... drooling*
Dole Plantation
They have a garden tour and a train tour throughout the plantation, and a fun maze! But don't leave without getting their pineapple dole whip! Better than Disneyland's 🤭 *Pictured: Andrew's mom, Andrew, and Marla with yummy dole whip soft serve in May 2024*
Diamond Head Hike
A 1.6-mile (roundtrip) trail that leads to the summit of an ancient volcanic crater. The trail offers stunning views of Honolulu and the surrounding coastline. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for your hike. Wear good walking shoes, bring water, and wear a hat and sunscreen. Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa
You don't need to be a guest to visit for free! You can walk around the resort, eat in the restaurants and swim in the lagoon. *Pictured: The Bride and Groom.. and Stitch!*
Polynesian Cultural Center
Marla has been here twice! Once with her family in 2007, and another time for her senior class trip in 2015. You're able to spend a full day here, and experience six unique island villages, a mouth-watering luau, and an evening show. Kualoa Ranch
Head to Kualoa Ranch with plenty to do: movie tours, horseback, beach. It's a great place to spend a whole day with lots of fantastic activities available! You can book on their website. *Pictured: Marla's bridesmaid Ellee during our senior class trip in March 2015*
Pearl Harbor
Visit Pearl Harbor and explore the memorials. Check their website to book affordable, self-guided tickets. *Pictured: Andrew's photo from our visit in May 2024*
Fireworks on Waikiki Beach (Friday nights only)
Fireworks start at 7:45 pm every Friday! The area in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village is particularly popular. Another popular place is at Fort DeRussy Beach (pictured), right by the boardwalk. *Pictured: Andrew & Marla's view at Fort Derussy Beach in September 2025*
