Travel
We're hoping things are looking a little better in July for safe travel and lodging, but we'd still recommend booking refundable tickets and reservations when possible. We'd also suggest staying in standalone rentals as opposed to hotels.
GETTING HERE
We recommend driving into town, but if you need to book air travel, try to get a low cost or refundable ticket. Services like Scott's Cheap Flights or EscapeATX can alert you about cheap tickets.
STAYING IN AUSTIN
Use services like AirBnB and VRBO to book houses and apartments in Austin. We would recommend booking rentals close to walkable areas like Downtown Austin or near South Congress, South Lamar or South First, north of highway 71 and south of the river. Feel free to get in touch if you need help finding a place!
GETTING AROUND
Austin is largely not a walkable city, so we suggest renting a car while in town. That said, we have rideshare services like Uber and Lyft and of course traditional taxi services like Yellow Cab.
