Due to COVID, we have decided to have a small ceremony with our immediate families on October 10 in Asheville, North Carolina. It's been an interesting year for us all and definitely has made planning a wedding extra difficult. We had always imagined celebrating our marriage with all of our favorite people together in one place, but COVID has a unique way of ruining plans. This has not been an easy decision but it does feel like the wisest and the safest. We wish that we could celebrate our special day with you in person. As this day approaches, we ask for prayers for our marriage and that, in good times and in bad, we rely on God as the foundation of our relationship. While life and marriage have their ups and downs, we are blessed to be surrounded by incredible people to help us along the way. We love you all and are so grateful for the roles you have played in our lives. With love, Andrew & Becca
Becca and I met while volunteering at a free clinic. She was this cute girl that had her arm in a sling after breaking her collar bone in an acroyoga accident (think of it like yoga gymnastics). I was just a boy who liked volunteering at the clinic so he had an excuse to wear scrubs and feel like he was making a difference. She messaged me through Facebook and asked me out for coffee. I asked if she was asking me out on a date, she said she didn't know. So I told her she was going on a date with me, she could call it whatever she liked, but to me it was going to be a date. Ever since then, she has been taking me on adventures, challenging me, and growing with me. I couldn't have asked for someone better to share my life with. -Andrew
I don't remember meeting Andrew for the first time - although my facebook history shows I fb stalked him. I do remember the second time though - he talked about faith in a way that made me want to get to know him better and had a smile that made his eyes twinkle like Santa Claus. That night, I found all the shifts he was signed up for and decided that those just so happened to be good days for me to volunteer also. On my birthday in March, I made a list of things I wanted to do that year. I wrote "ask someone out on a date" but I already had that someone in mind. I asked him out but was too chicken to call it a date. After our first date/non-date, I sat in my car trying to remember how to breathe. I knew then that he was my husband. I used to scoff at people who said they "just knew" but I guess the jokes on me ❤️ - Becca
he pets me. and takes me on hikes. and lets me eat the food off the floor. I lurv him. - Delilah
