Question

What should we bring?

Answer

If you plan to stay with us in the cabins, you need to bring a pillow, a flashlight, toiletries and a towel. We will have cabins made up with sheets and blankets and will try to make them as cozy as possible. Bring your favorite lawn games and some chairs for around the fire. You should bring your favorite alcoholic drinks. We will be providing beer and a few mixed drinks Saturday evening.

Question

What will we be doing all weekend?

Answer

Drew and Shelby love the outdoors and would love for family and friends to join them leading up to their Big Day. Friday we will work hard to get everyone checked into their cabins and comfortable. We will have a chili dinner and roast hot dogs around the campfire. Saturday we will have some camp activities that gets everyone involved in decorating for the ceremony. We will serve a sack lunch so visitors can explore the park or just spread a blanket nearby for a nice relaxing picnic. During this time the family will be setting up for the ceremony, dinner and reception. The wedding ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm at the campfire. In the case of rain, the ceremony will take place in the Recreation Hall. We will have a photo session for the bride and groom directly following the ceremony. Dinner will then be served in the Dining Hall and the reception will follow in the Recreation Hall. Sunday morning we will have donuts and coffee with the new couple.

Question

What are the accommodations/cabins like?

Answer

There are many cabins on-site for use. The cabins will be assigned out prior to your arrival (please indicate on the RSVP that you will be staying in the cabins). They have the capability to accommodate up to 8 people ( bunk beds ) and there is electric in the cabins. We will have bedding provided for each guest, but we do ask that you bring a pillow. We will have heat in the cabins if the weather requires it. There are 4 shower houses throughout the camp for our use, we do ask that you bring your own towels. There are fire pits close to each cabin to gather around. Everything will be within walking distance from the cabins. Hope you will chose to stay in the park with us! If you chose to stay in the hotel, it is located in Troy MO, which is about 8 miles from the park.
