We recommend the following accommodations: The Inn at Round Barn Farm- Stay here for the quintessential Vermont bed and breakfast experience. The Round Barn is nestled into 245 acres of mountains. They have snowshoes of all sizes and trails to explore. Our Friday night welcome party will be in the Round Barn, so you'll be steps away from the fun! The Clay Brook- Stay here if you plan on hitting the slopes or prefer more of a standard hotel experience at the base of Lincoln Peak. There is plenty of fun to be had around the resort. Airbnb or Vrbo- If you are interested in booking an Airbnb or Vrbo, we recommend staying either in Warren Village or in Sugarbush Village. Warren Village is where the Pitcher Inn is located and is walkable from most of the village. There will be a shuttle pickup from the Pitcher Inn. Sugarbush Village is where the Clay Brook Hotel is located. There will be a shuttle pickup at the Clay Brook Hotel.
There sure is! We will provide shuttle service to and from all the weekend festivities. We kindly ask that you use the provided transportation as there is very limited parking at both The Inn at Round Barn and The Pitcher Inn.
Yes! Yes! Yes! We have made the mistake of trying to use our GPS. What happened? We lost cell reception and ending up driving over a mountain, on a dirt road, in a snow storm, going 15 mph. We lived to tell the tale, but we would have stayed on plowed roads and saved an hour of travel time if we had just followed the directions we printed out. It can be tempting to select the Googles Maps route that promises to cut 15 minutes off your travel time, but trust us- it won't.
You definitely will not have to. Ethan Allen Coachworks provides excellent car service to and from the airport. Once you are in Warren, you won't need your own car. We will provide transportation to all festivities. If you do end up renting a car, we ask that you still use the provided shuttle service to all wedding events as parking is very limited. Also, cell reception is not reliable around Warren, so it would be a good idea to print driving directions from the Burlington Airport to Warren.
Please wear what you'll feel comfortable and warm in. Below are just suggestions if you are looking for more guidance. For the welcome party, we suggest "Vermont Casual" attire. Denim is encouraged, a cozy sweater wouldn't be out of place, plaid looks wonderful in a barn, throw in some L.L.Bean boots and you're basically a Vermonter. For our ceremony and reception, we suggest "Festive Attire." Feel free to have fun and be playful with your outfit. For the Ladies, a cocktail frock or dressy separates. For the Men, a suit or jacket. We suggest footwear suitable for salted and shoveled walkways. For the farewell brunch, come as you are!
Whether you plan on playing in the snow or curling up by a fireplace, we want you to be comfy and warm. Depending on the activities you plan on doing, we suggest that you add the following to your packing list: •Waterproof boots and warm socks •Thermal layers •Winter gloves •Scarves and hats •Ski jacket and pants for cross-country, downhill skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sledding, and snowshoeing •Helmet and goggles, if skiing or riding
