Our story began in Cuenca Ecuador. In June of 2017, Andrés offered to look after Viviana’s small dog, Jacky in the middle of an unexpected move. Thanks to Jacky, we started spending more time together, and amidst conversations, laughter, and shared moments, our friendship grew naturally… until one day, it blossomed into love. We spent three wonderful years building our relationship and dreaming about our future together until one day, Andrés unexpectedly received the opportunity to move to the United States (alone!). Though many miles apart, Andrés always knew that Vivi was the one. Six months after he started his new chapter in the United States, he returned to Ecuador to ask for Viviana’s hand in marriage. The answer was (obviously): YES! However, having to to return to the United States shortly after our engagement, we were faced with only two options: get married in Ecuador the day before his return, or wait an indefinite amount of time. Without hesitating, our answer was simple…we arrived at the courthouse the following day. And thus, the start of another chapter, together, and yet…apart. Shortly after Andrés returned to the United States, the pandemic struck, leaving us once again, in uncertainty and physically distanced. It was not until two and a half years later that Viviana was able to join Andrés, and we were both, once again, finally together. We didn’t know the Lord at the time, but looking back now, we know it was Him already guiding our steps and weaving our story. After three years of walking with Him, we have decided to celebrate our marriage before those who have accompanied us on this journey. We are pleased to be recommitting our lives and our marriage in the same church where we first came to know Christ. Today, we are grateful for every step of our journey, and we are excited to continue the life God has planned for us. En junio de 2017, Andrés se ofreció a cuidar a Jacky la perrita de Viviana en medio de una mudanza inesperada. Gracias a Jacky, comenzamos a pasar más tiempo juntos y, entre conversaciones, risas y momentos compartidos, nuestra amistad creció de forma natural... hasta que, un día, floreció en amor. Pasamos tres años maravillosos construyendo nuestra relación y soñando de nuestro futuro juntos, hasta que un día Andrés recibió de manera inesperada, la oportunidad de mudarse a los E.E.U.U (¡solo!). A pesar de la distancia de tantos kilómetros, Andrés siempre supo que Vivi era la indicada. Seis meses después de haber iniciado su nuevo capítulo en los E.E.U.U, regresó a Ecuador para pedir la mano de Viviana en matrimonio. La respuesta fue (¡obviamente!): SÍ. Sin embargo, al tener que regresar a los E.E.U.U poco después de nuestro compromiso, nos enfrentamos a solo dos opciones: casarnos en Ecuador el día antes de su partida o esperar un tiempo indefinido. Sin dudarlo, nuestra respuesta fue sencilla: acudimos al registro civil al día siguiente. Y así comenzó un nuevo capítulo; juntos, y a la vez... separados. Poco después de que Andrés regresara a los E.E.U.U., estalló la pandemia, dejándonos una vez más en la incertidumbre y físicamente distanciados. No fue sino hasta dos años y medio después que Viviana pudo reunirse con Andrés y, por fin, volvimos a estar juntos. En aquel entonces no conocíamos al Señor, pero al mirar atrás, sabemos que ya era Él quien guiaba nuestros pasos y tejía nuestra historia. Despues de tres años caminando junto a Él, hemos decidido celebrar nuestro matrimonio ante aquellos que nos han acompañado en este viaje incluso a la distancia. Nos llena de alegría renovar el compromiso de nuestras vidas y de nuestro matrimonio en la misma iglesia donde conocimos a Cristo por primera vez. Hoy, estamos agradecidos por cada paso de nuestro camino y entusiasmados por continuar la vida que Dios ha planeado para nosotros. ¿Nos acompañan a celebrar la fidelidad de Dios?
