In July 2019, shortly after Aimee moved to Lubbock with her dog, Coco, she met Andrés. From the very beginning, they couldn’t stop talking. It felt familiar, like reconnecting with an old friend, and the connection was immediate. As their relationship grew, Andrés became Aimee’s constant support through nursing school. He stood by her through long days and late nights, encouraged her when things felt overwhelming, and celebrated every hard-earned success right alongside her. Today, their life together continues to grow with Ozzy, their dog, by their side, but their story began with Coco, whose approval remains a cherished part of their journey. It was only a matter of time before their story led to the moment they had both been hoping for. It was there that Andrés asked Aimee to marry him. While walking along the beach, Aimee was looking out at the water when Andrés knelt down behind her and asked for her hand. When she turned around and saw him, she said yes without hesitation, knowing she was saying yes to her best friend and the person she wanted to share her life with. Now, they look forward to entering the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony with full hearts, grateful for the love that has carried them to this moment. Surrounded by family and friends, they are excited to begin this next chapter together, trusting in God and in the life they will continue building side by side.
