An international love story! Russia-born European meets Peru-born American! Elena was living in Tokyo from 2018-2020 and Andrés was a happy tourist on a dating app in August 2019. After matching and a very fun date, they met up again a few days later. Who would have guessed? After months of texting each other, Andrés decided to revisit Japan in March 2020.. enter COVID! Japan didn't completely shut down, so the two had the opportunity to travel around and get to know each other better for a whole month. Elena's contract ended in August 2020, but instead of going back to the office in Amsterdam - she packed up her many suitscases and flew to the US. After traveling around New England, both Elena and Andrés decided that being together is quite cool, so enter the long-distance relationship..
