Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than July 30, 2023.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We adore kids, but this celebration is for adults only! So only 21+ are invited to attend.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please reach out to us to inquire about bringing an additional guest if you do not see their name when you search for yours on our RSVP page.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Our gift registry can be found on this site. Please click on the Registry tab at the top of this page. Please do not bring gifts to the venue. We will have a box to receive cards.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Our recommendations can be found on this site. Please click on the Travel tab at the top of this page. We have three room blocks with discounted rates at the Hilton Garden Inn Haymarket, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Gainesville Haymarket, and Hampton Inn Gainesville-Haymarket. We also suggest the Airlie Hotel in Warrenton and the Hampton Inn Warrenton. Unfortunately, we were unable to acquire room blocks for the latter two hotels.

Question

Is there transportation to the venue and back to the hotels?

Answer

We are offering shuttle transportation for our guests that will be imbibing at our reception. We don't want any tipsy drivers on the road and Uber/Lyft are unreliable from Great Marsh. These shuttles will be directed towards the Hilton Garden Inn Haymarket, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Gainesville Haymarket, and Hampton Inn Gainesville-Haymarket. There will be a shuttle that departs from each of these hotels at 3:15 pm. There will be a single shuttle that returns to the hotels at 9:00 pm for guests that want to retire early. There will be a mass shuttle departure at 11:00 pm.

Question

Can I order an Uber or Lyft to get to and from Great Marsh Estate?

Answer

While Gainesville-Haymarket has decent rideshare service, Uber and Lyft service is sporadic, slow, and unreliable from Great Marsh. We HIGHLY recommend either driving to and from Great Marsh Estate. Overnight parking is allowed at Great Marsh, you must pick your car up from the venue no later than 12:00 pm on September 3rd. For guests that are staying at a room blocked hotel and imbibing at the reception, we suggest using the shuttle service.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking at Great Marsh Estate. There will be parking escorts on the grounds to show you where to park. Overnight parking is allowed at the venue, but your car must be removed from the grounds by 12:00 pm on September 3rd.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are asking everyone to wear cocktail attire. For the ladies, it is HIGHLY suggested to wear a steady heel (block heels, short pumps, etc.) and/or bringing a pair of flats to change into. The long pathway from the ceremony site to the cocktail hour/reception area is a gravel path (not ideal for stilettoes).

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at 4:00 pm. We will have pre-ceremony champagne available for our guests and the grounds are beautiful to take in.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We are having a Welcome Event at the Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm in Gainesville, VA. The event information and address can be found on the Schedule tab on this website. The Welcome Event will start at 7:30 pm on September 1st.

Question

Where do I indicate my meal selection?

Answer

We are doing a family style dinner. We will serve a variety of proteins, including vegetarian dishes.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please do! Reach out to us so we can make arrangements for you.
