This place is Lagoa das Sete Cidades and is a twin lake situated in the crater of a dormant volcano on the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. It consists of two small, ecologically different lakes connected by a narrow strait, which is crossed by a bridge. Its is a beautiful hike and landscape with enriched histories and stories about the two lakes. FYI Wear comfortable clothing and shoes as it is more of a hiking venture.
