FAQs

Question

Do I have to go on the cruise?

Answer

Though we'd love for you to join us for an extended celebration, we understand that you may have other obligations that would keep you from sailing. We would be honored simply to have you in attendance at the ceremony and reception.

Question

What if I want to cruise, too?

Answer

Wonderful! The cruise will depart at 4PM from Port Canaveral on Thursday August 23, 2018 (the same day as the ceremony) and will return the following Sunday at 8AM. You can search for the cruise by navigating to www.carnival.com, searching for 3 day cruises to the Bahamas, leaving from Port Canaveral on August 23rd, 2018. Please sign up for the 8PM Dinner Hour, so we can have a celebratory dinner together one night. Let us know you've booked!

Question

What do I need to bring to get on the ship if I'm not cruising?

Answer

A valid state issued photo ID is required. You'll leave your ID with the agents at the Security desk in the terminal and will be issued a temporary guest pass to board and navigate the ship. Immediately following the reception, you'll disembark and return to the Security desk to retrieve your ID.

Question

What do I need to bring to get on the ship if I AM cruising?

Answer

You'll need either a valid passport OR both a state issued ID (like a driver's license) plus a copy of your birth certificate. If bringing a passport, we encourage you to make sure the expiration date is more than 6 months out from the completion of our trip, August 26, 2018.

Question

What if I just got married and am in the process of changing my name?

Answer

Congratulations! Bring your marriage certificate in case your last names on different documents do not match.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

YES! This is a celebration for us all! (Fur babies unfortunately are not allowed unless they are support companions.)

Question

What if I'm not a US citizen?

Answer

You can still attend the ceremony, reception, and cruise! Please carefully reference Carnival's website to determine what travel documents you'll need.

Question

So... Will there be an Open Bar?

Answer

Naturally! This is a kid-friendly event though, so we're limiting our adult-oriented options to domestic beer, red, white, and sparkling wine, and a specialty cocktail TBD. Soft drinks, coffee, tea, and water will also be available.

Question

I want to go on the cruise, but I need a roommate! How do I get paired with someone?

Answer

We've had a couple people ask if they could share a room to cut costs, which is great! We want you to come with us to party and relax for a weekend! If you need a roommate, let Sheree or Charly André know, and we will add you to the list of people, introduce you to someone we believe you will mesh well with, whereupon you can trade contact information and work out details!
