It will be chilly in the Catskills forest in November! The ceremony will be outdoors, so bring a cozy layer and choose footwear you don't mind being outdoors in. Ladies, we suggest a chunky heel if you're going with high heels for the evening! We'll have a bonfire later in the evening, so feel free to bring a change of clothes if you'd rather be comfy when we head back outside for s'mores!
Brunch will be at Spillian (9:30-11:30am), and you'll need to drive. We recommend car pooling as the parking lot is rather small!
Dre, Meri, and Nola first traveled to Roscoe in June 2020, desperately in need of a safe change of scenery during Covid. We picked the AirBNB at random but found ourselves in the most magical place that felt like home immediately. We fell in love with the forests, rivers, star-filled skies, and laid-back vibes the Catskills offer. We love the local breweries in Roscoe and Livingston Manor, and we've traveled back several times a year since that first trip. We knew we wanted to share the magic of the Catskills with you all for our special day. We hope you'll love it as much as we do!
Spillian is the former summer home of the Fleischmann family - the owners of Fleischmann's yeast, for those of you who took up bread making during Covid. It's been lovingly restored by Mark and Leigh, our hosts for this magical weekend. So many of the details in the venue are original to the home - check out the beautiful painting on the wood paneling while you're there. The grounds and house are so magical and truly feel like stepping back in time or, perhaps, into a haunted mansion... and you all know that's our vibe!
