We first met at 9Round, a kickboxing gym, where André worked as a trainer. Maura had always wanted to try kickboxing, and she was at a place in her life where she wanted to invest in herself and her passions. She found this gym that was close to her then, apartment, and signed up for a first time workout. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to sign up for a membership. It was on her third workout session that she met André. She was taken aback by how handsome he was, so much so, that when it was time for them to drill techniques, she kept confusing her left from her right hand. André was confused, thinking she did not like him because she was often inches away from landing a cross to his face. In truth, he was captivated by her own beauty, from the moment she walked into the gym. In hoping that Maura did not make a bad impression on this handsome trainer, as she left her workout session she shouted back at him with a smile, "you just have a nice face!". André grinned from ear to ear and took that as a green light. By the next time they saw each other, he approached her after the workout, asking if she would like to get coffee, and the rest is history.
