Our Story

Marian and Andre’s story began in the summer of 2016, when they were just 15 and 16 years old — two high school teenagers who had no idea what kind of journey was about to unfold. They met through a mutual friend from the wrestling team at Granada Hills Charter High School, and the very first time they saw each other in person was on a Metro Bus. In that seemingly ordinary moment, they both felt a sense of joy and peace, as if deep down, they knew this was the beginning of something that would last. Their first official date soon followed at the Northridge Mall, where they bonded over music, wandered the streets without a plan, and simply enjoyed each other’s presence. Time seemed to pass without them noticing — it was easy and natural. Then, in August 2016, Andre asked Marian to be his girlfriend with a single rose in the back of a TJ Maxx. It wasn’t elaborate, but it didn’t need to be. From the very beginning, their love didn’t rely on grand gestures — just sincerity, intention, and a feeling that they were exactly where they were meant to be. From the very beginning, there was an ease between Andre and Marian — a deep sense of comfort and connection that felt divinely orchestrated. As they got to know one another, they shared their dreams, their goals, and most importantly, their growing faith in Jesus. Over the years, Marian and Andre walked through many seasons together. There were moments of joy and celebration, but also times of struggle and doubt. They faced rough patches and seasons where it seemed like there was no hope. Yet through it all, one thing remained constant: God's presence in their relationship. Time and time again, He reminded them that their love had a greater purpose — to serve His kingdom together. As they journeyed from teenagers into adulthood, they witnessed each other change and evolve. Through every high and low, they held on to the truth that love — real love — is patient, kind, selfless, and enduring. Now, as they approach a full decade together in 2026, Marian and Andre stand in awe of what God has done in their lives. Their relationship is a living testimony of His faithfulness and goodness. With grateful hearts, they are overjoyed to begin the next chapter of their journey — not just as partners, but as husband and wife.
