FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Formal invitations won't go out until January 2026. We know you need some time to plan this big trip, so we'd like to have your formal RSVP by March 2026.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will be looking into local events for fishing, wildlife viewing and hiking. Stay tuned!

Question

What lodging is paid for and what is not?

Answer

We have taken care of lodging at Salted Roots for July 16th - July 19th, 2026. If you wish to extend your trip, you are more than welcome! We recommend reaching out to Salted Roots ASAP if you wish to do so, so they can house you in the same cabin you are assigned. They do book out well in advance, so please plan ahead for this option! We also have setup a courtesy room block for you if you're wanting other options - details to com once this is finalized. AirBNB is another great, affordable option for lodging in Seward!

Question

Do I need a fishing license?

Answer

YES! If you plan to fish (even on a charter), you will need a current fishing license. Please visit this website to obtain your 2026 fishing license in that calendar year: https://store.adfg.alaska.gov/
