To Forever

It all started the old-fashioned way, on the dating app Hinge. Out of all the guys that liked Andrea, it was a clever, yet humbling approach to comment on her love for the Lumineers which was mentioned in one of her photos. This personalization was just enough to peak the interest for Andrea to respond. After some back and forth on Hinge, and ultimately exchanging numbers, Levi was finally able to get a spot on Andrea's calendar. This spot was shortly lived, as a reschedule needed to happen before the future Mr. and Mrs. Metheny could finally meet. It was a little bar called Ted’s corner. Perfectly half way between Jersey City, where Levi lived at the time, and Andrea in Murray Hill. Just a 5 minute walk for Andrea and close to an hour and a half commute for Levi. From the path train to subway, and a brisk 20 minute walk to the bar, Levi finally got to see Andrea in person for the first time and it truly was love at first sight. The two instantly hit it off, talking about your typical first date conversations: Food, drinks, Music, Hobbies, Sports, and Family. Levi quickly learned that Andrea’s sister recently moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, which is where Levi’s family is originally from. From that point on, we laughed, drank, and truly enjoyed each other's company until it was time for Andrea to go. She actually was heading to West Virginia that next day and was meeting some friends in Hoboken so she could get back to Wayne, New Jersey later that night. Being the Gentleman Levi is, he offered to walk Andrea back to her apartment, which she then mentioned that she had to go back to Jersey anyways so we could make the trek together. She just had to stop and get her bags from her apartment first. Levi graciously walked Andrea up to her apartment, said hello to her roommate Taylor, grabbed Andrea’s bags, carried them through New York City back to the path train where they would both get on, and both get off for one last drink together for the night. It was finally time for Andrea to go, and Levi to work his way back to Jersey City. With one last goodbye, and Andrea leaning in for the first kiss (Levi was first), that date would be the last first date, and the beginning of happily ever after.
