hey y'all!

It started two years ago at Stan's Blue Note. After Andrea delayed for a couple hours, and warned that it would be casual attire, Zak knew this one was special. A first date that started 2 hours late, ended at last call. More joyful rendezvous followed, and after discovering a shared love for travel, Zak found himself on a plane to Mexico to be Andrea's date for a wedding. There was something about the border, as they found themselves visiting Big Bend National Park later that year. After spending a week seemingly transported to another world, Andrea and Zak were beginning to fall in love. Neither could expect what was to come next. As the world was being shaken up by the pandemic, Andrea and Zak enjoyed the opportunity to become closer. With nature as the only escape available, a return trip to Big Bend was planned for Thanksgiving. Another magical trip was enjoyed, capped off in a lovely casita in Terlingua, with Thanksgiving dinner from the Starlight Theatre. Andrea suspected something was up, after Zak's insistence on making a fire, and later, asking her to dance. Something was up, as Zak dropped to one knee, and asked Andrea to spend the rest of her life with him. Despite enduring a six hour hike earlier, Andrea gleefully said YES! We're excited for you to celebrate our story with us in our special Middle of Nowhere!
