This is one of three known photos of Nick with hair. Nick and I met working for the Twins in 2010. We hit it off and I later followed him to Stillwater to live and work with him once again at Oklahoma State. Nick is a great worker and an even better friend. Nick currently lives outside of Minneapolis.

Here's Adam about to throw a pumpkin from the sixth floor of South Quad in Ann Arbor. Adam and I met by the great fortune of him being the freshman year roommate of one of my high school friends. We lived together for the remainder of our college years and again after college as we both started our first jobs in Milwaukee. Adam lives just outside of Milwaukee.

This is the moment Michael had his first bite of a Jucy Lucy from Matt's Bar in Minneapolis. Michael was among the first people I met in my first job out of college. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to discover that just because college was over and I'd moved away from home, it was still possible to make new life-long friends. After several moves around the country, fate has brought both Michael and I back to Minneapolis.

A mustachioed Chris takes a bite of a University of Michigan-themed cookie after watching the Buckeyes deliver a crushing loss to the Wolverines. Chris was another one of those people I met after college that made me realize that it's never too late to make lifelong friends. Although he's a Buckeye, deep down, he's a really great guy. Really deep down. Chris lives in Ohio.
