God brought Andrea and Tait together through an amazing mutual friend named, Chelsey Baumbach. Andrea knew Chelsey through a local woman's Bible Study, and Tait knew Chelsey from their time teaching at a local middle school together. Chelsey's goal was for Andrea and Tait to meet one another "naturally", so, she would purposely invite Tait to events that she knew Andrea would be at, but to no avail. In addition, Chelsey would also drop hints about Tait to Andrea in their conversations and get togethers, but again with no success. Following Tait's Open Heart Surgery on April, 22nd of 2024, Chelsey decided her attempts at having Andrea and Tait meet "organically" might need to be tweaked for them to actually meet. In July of 2024, Chelsey went with more of a "direct" approach. Chelsey's direct approach came via a text message to Tait one Friday afternoon in July. The text message asked Tait if he would be open to meeting an amazing woman Chelsey knew from her Bible Study. Tait read the text multiple times and thought to himself, I am in no shape right now to meet someone coming off of my surgery. Tait didn't respond to Chelsey's text and just let the text linger into the early evening without responding one way or the other. In the early evening, God laid it on Tait's heart to respond back and tell Chelsey he would be open to meeting Andrea. The very next day Tait sent Andrea a text message introducing himself through written text and a few pictures. Over the next week, texts and pictures were exchanged and a phone conversation was planned for early in the afternoon on July 27th, of 2024. During their first phone call on July 27th, of 2024, the conversation flowed freely and the genuine and authentic nature of Andrea's and Tait's first talk was intriguing to each of them. The following Saturday, Andrea and Tait met at Sargent's Nursery in Rochester, MN, and once again, the conversation was very easy and focused on their shared faith in Jesus. The rest is history!
