A question Andrea and I get asked quite often is “Sooooooooooo how did you all meet?!?!?”. Talk about getting caught off guard! I believe a common response from Andrea is let me look at my google calendar for exact dates and times, but to save you all time I will give you my version. Andrea and I met sometime in January of 2014. Little did I know, and I’m certain she may not have known that we’d eventually be dating then getting married! Andrea has taught me many things throughout our precious time together, but one of the greatest things she has shown me is the true meaning of Magic. I still remember my heart stopping when she asked if I would accompany her to our dear friend (Rhonda’s) Birthday party. It was at this time I knew Andrea would someday be my girlfriend. Shortly after I remember many awkward nights of Andrea asking me what kind of girl I liked or would be interested in. It was a very hard question for me to answer as the girl I wanted to be with was sitting right in front of me. Eventually I would work up the nerve to profess my feelings to Andrea, which I’m sure caught her off guard.
I remember many sleepless nights wishing and even writing notes to put it out into the universe. One of these notes I still keep in my wallet at all times. How funny it is how a simply text can bring someone back into your life? I remember getting a random text from Andrea one night starting back up a conversation. We talked and texted for hours on end. This leads us to January 1, 2019 when I showed Andrea that very same piece of paper with her name in it (Real Magic). It was that night I asked her to be my girlfriend and to be in my life. If you’re all wondering she said YES! This brought us too many fun and exciting adventures moving to San Antonio. Andrea is truly my other half, the yin to my yang. She is someone who will forever be my friend, rock, and mostly recently my partner in life. Asking Andrea to marry me at the San Jose Mission was one of the scariest and most significant parts in my life. Having Andrea say yes was like hearing the sweetest of bells ring. For anyone who read this story, I have to say thank you for your interest in Real Magic. I love you Andrea forever and always my love.
