We’re excited to announce that our wedding will take place on November 11 at Maria Auxiliadora Chapel in San Vicente de Chucurí. San Vicente de Chucurí is Ani’s hometown, a charming town about a two-hour drive from Bucaramanga, the capital of the Santander region. How Do You Get There? Robert and I will be in Bucaramanga to welcome you starting Friday, November 7. Feel free to arrive anytime between November 7 and 9. We recommend booking a hotel in Bucaramanga based on your preferences and budget: Holiday Inn - Cacique: This modern 18-floor hotel offers panoramic city views and is adjacent to the Cacique Shopping Center. Average price per night: approximately $83. ​ Hotel Chicamocha: A 4-star hotel located near my family’s apartment, where Robert and I will be staying. Average price per night: approximately $72. ​ Hampton by Hilton: A modern hotel offering comfortable accommodations. Average price per night: approximately $59. ​ Hotel La Serrania: A 4-star hotel near my family’s apartment, offering modern rooms, a jacuzzi, and a steam bath. Average price per night: $42 Wedding Day – November 11 The wedding ceremony will take place on November 11. We will be staying at Hotel Tibigaro from Nov 9-Nov 13. We highly encourage everyone to stay at Hotel Tibigaro on the wedding night (November 11) to make the logistics smoother. Wedding Reception & Stay at Hotel Tibigaro On November 9, we will all head to Hotel Tibigaro, located in San Vicente de Chucurí where the wedding reception will be held. This hotel does not have a website, but they have WhatsApp and speak Spanish. You’re welcome to make your reservation directly, but if you prefer, Ani can assist you! Just message her at +17206722924, and she’ll be happy to book it for you. On the first day, we’ve planned a boat trip to explore the reservoir, visit waterfalls, and enjoy various activities. Please bring your swimsuit! Post-Wedding Plans – November 12 & Beyond After an amazing reception and celebrating Ani & Robert’s wedding (again!), on November 12, we will start making our way back to Bucaramanga. You are free to stay for as long as you’d like, but our recommendation is to return to Bucaramanga and explore nearby towns to experience the beauty of Santander. Some great places to visit include: Chicamocha National Park: A stunning natural park featuring breathtaking canyon views and various outdoor activities. ​ Zapatoca: A picturesque town known for its pleasant climate and colonial architecture.​ Barichara: Often called the most beautiful town in Colombia, it offers well-preserved colonial buildings and cobblestone streets. ​ San Gil: Known as the adventure capital, offering activities like rafting, paragliding, and hiking.​ All of these destinations are near Bucaramanga, and we can plan some group trips to explore together. Robert and I will be flying back to the U.S. on November 16, but we hope you can take some time to enjoy this wonderful region before then! We can't wait to celebrate this special moment with you! ❤️
