Question

What is the weather in Lima in August?

Answer

The average temperature in Lima during this time ranges from 55 F to 70 F.

Question

Is Lima safe?

Answer

Lima is considered safe, especially the areas that the wedding events will take place. But like many Latin American cities, it is good to be alert and attentive to surroundings. We do not advise to wear any flashy jewelry or watches.

Question

WHEN SHOULD I PLAN TO ARRIVE TO LIMA?

Answer

We suggest arriving to Lima on Wednesday, July 30th. This will provide you with time to settle in and sightsee a few days prior to the wedding! Please refer to "THINGS TO DO" for places to go to in and out side of Lima prior to or after the wedding. We would love for all of our guests to take advantage of being in a beautiful country such as Peru to explore everything that it has to offer! We assure you there is something for every taste in preference.

Question

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO EXCHANGE CURRENCY?

Answer

The currency of Peru is the Nuevo Sol. Most places will accept cards and Apple Pay (even restaurants), but it's highly recommended to have cash/coins handy for tips, street food, etc. The best places to exchange your USD once in Peru are Banks and Exchange Stores. You can also request Peruvian currency through your U.S. Bank. We recommend doing this with enough anticipation since banks have to make a special currency order and it may take a week for the transaction to be completed. $150 USD = 550 Soles, which is more than enough to make small purchases and enjoy 2 or 3 days in the city.
