What should we wear to the Welcome Party?
The dress code for our Welcome Party on February 14th is "Coastal Casual", optional. This is just a fancy way of saying beachy! Think of it as sundresses, linens, Hawaiian shirts, flowy and light materials. Come hungry! We will have plenty of food and drinks to go around. Have a Valentine's dinner reservation? No worries at all! Stop by for a drink or snack beforehand if you please :)
What are some good restaurants in the area?
Whether you’re looking for a place for lunch with the family or a Valentine’s dinner, New Smyrna has a ton of great restaurants to choose from. • The Garlic - one of the most high-rated restaurants in New Smyrna. Tuscan-inspired food. Great desserts. To start off, they give you a loaf of bread with an ENTIRE roasted garlic head. We loved the drinks and desserts (tiramisu and carrot cake in particular!) • Norwood's Restaurant & Treehouse Bar - though they don't have reservations, this Old-school seafood restaurant has a retro feel and an expansive wine menu. We visited the Treehouse for late night drinks and it was awesome! • The Breakers Ocean Front Restaurant and Bar - casual seafood, burgers, and great ocean views • SoNapa Grille - great for a date night or fancy dinner. Large selection of wines and cocktails • City Market Bistro - great selection for lunch, dinner, or dessert. Highly rated burgers • Off the Hook Raw Bar and Grill - local seafood with fun drinks
When and where should I book my accomodations?
With the Daytona 500 also taking place this weekend, we encourage our guests to book accommodations as soon as possible! Head to our "Travel" tab for more recommendations on specific hotels in the area. We highly recommend staying along New Smyrna Beach or near Flagler Ave/A1A, a very popular seaside beach street lined with quaint boutiques, galleries, surf shops, restaurants, inns and more. The town of Edgewater is also very popular for Vrbo and Airbnb rentals.
Do I need to bring anything?
Even though February is a “cooler” month in Florida, we know the daytime will still be warm. We recommend bringing sunglasses for the cocktail hour and dancing shoes for the reception! The high will be around 70s but the low will be around 45 degrees at night, so a light shawl or jacket may help!
