It all began in a Precalculus class in the summer of 2022, when fate sat Andrea and Preston side by side for a whole semester. (Preston says it wasn’t fate—he chose to sit by the cutest girl in the class.) Simple conversations quickly grew into something neither expected. On the last day of class, Preston asked her out, and soon after they shared the best first date of their lives. Though they come from different backgrounds with different tastes and languages, they’ve always complemented each other beautifully. Preston asked Andrea to be his girlfriend after five dates, but she wasn’t ready—yet love had other plans. Six months later at the Philbrook cabin, she asked him, and he said yes.
