Gifts and wedding registry?

Answer

We have been getting asked about wedding gifts and to be clear, we really don't expect or need anything! It's truly special enough that you all are coming! However, we have decided to set up a honeymoon fund for those who want to contribute - no obligation. We are considering O'ahu, Tofino, BC or Tulum, Mexico. Our registry is now activated on our Zola wedding page.

What to wear?

Answer

The event is not formal although we'd like you to dress up! Anything goes between semi-formal and smart casual but please no T-shirts or shorts - and ties are optional. Mornings are chilly in Berkeley and the wedding ceremony is outdoors so bring a light jacket, wrap or sweater. The reception will be indoors and the most important detail is to wear comfortable shoes for dancing!

Arrival time and parking?

Answer

10:30am at the Lawrence Hall of Science. There are limited parking spots at the Redwood Grove Amphitheater where our wedding will take place. If you plan to drive, it is most likely you'll need to park at the Lawrence Hall of Science parking lot just up the hill from the amphitheater. We will be running a shuttle service from that parking lot to the Redwood Grove Amphitheater starting at 10:30 AM. It is highly recommended that you plan to park an hour in advance so we can start the wedding on time at 11:30. We will share more info about this as we get all the logistics determined but for now we want you to plan to arrive for the wedding between 10:30-11am.

Answer

Consider booking a place in Berkeley, El Cerrito, Albany or the Oakland Hills... If you find a house that you like, please reach out to us about the location before reserving it, so we can provide you with some local advice.

How soon should I book my accomodations?

Answer

It's a busy week for UC Berkeley students and families since it's the beginning of the fall semester, so we recommend that you book as soon as you decide that you'll be attending.

Which airport should I fly to?

Answer

You can fly into Oakland or San Francisco International Airports, but Oakland is closer to Berkeley. Southwest Airlines has the most flights into Oakland. Our public rail system, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) connects to both airports and is safe and efficient, but only operates until midnight.
