Mitch and I first met on Coffee Meets Bagel (a dating app) and quickly started sharing about our lives. From the very beginning, our conversations just flowed. It felt so natural and easy for us to be ourselves. Our first date was on a rainy day in Brenham, Texas—it was the BEST first date EVER! We talked for hours, and it just felt like home. At that time, I was living in Pasadena, near Houston, while Mitch was in Austin. Even with the miles between us, there was something about how we connected that made the distance feel much smaller. Early on, it was clear to us that we wanted to make things official. After about a month of dating, when I gave a follow-up presentation to Mitch’s, Mitch asked me to be his girlfriend on December 3, 2023. A year and a half later, on May 2, 2025, we relived our first date, and he proposed to me in a gazebo on a rainy day in Brenham. Jumping up and down with excitement, I said YES!!! Mitch and I love each other deeply and feel so grateful for how God has guided our journey. We’re best friends, partners, and soon-to-be husband and wife, and we can’t wait to start this new chapter together, with Jesus at the center of it all.
