Our story

By the time we found each other, we had both lived lifetimes. We carried heartbreak, responsibility, and lessons learned the hard way. I had made peace with walking this road alone — raising my children, holding it all together, not expecting help or asking for more than what I could carry on my own. Michael wasn’t searching either. But the moment our lives crossed, something shifted. He says I became his calm — a quiet strength he didn’t realize he needed. And for me, he became a steady hand, a safe place, and a love I never imagined I’d trust again. His love came unexpectedly, and it came with depth — the kind that doesn’t ask for attention, only the chance to stay. What we’ve built wasn’t rushed. It was honest. It was earned. Michael brings light into the hardest moments — with his dry humor, his goofy nerdy side, and his way of doing little things to make life easier for me. He notices the weight I carry — and does everything he can to help lift it. I watch him show up again and again, no matter what he’s going through, and still be a present, loving father to his girls — and a constant, devoted partner to me. He loves my children with the same tenderness he gives his own. And I love the way his face softens when he talks to them, how proud he is to be their dad. Watching him love all of us has changed everything I thought I knew about family. I never thought I’d need someone. I never expected to be this in love. But now, I can’t imagine living a day without him. This wedding isn’t just a moment — it’s a promise. It’s the quiet vow of two people who have been through enough to know what real love feels like — and the courage to choose it, every single day. On July 26, 2025, we’ll stand together — not as perfect people, but as partners who have become each other’s peace, each other’s strength, and each other’s home. We are so grateful to share this chapter with you. In Loving Memory Carl Poston Although Michael lost his father, Carl Poston, at a young age, the imprint of his love remains deeply woven into Michael’s life. Carl’s legacy lives on in the kind, strong, and generous man Michael has become. On our wedding day, we carry Carl’s memory with us. In Michael’s strength. In his laughter. In every vow we speak and every moment we share. Though Carl won’t be with us in person, we believe he’s smiling from above—proud of his son and the life we are building together. This day is for him too, and he will always be part of our story. Floyd “Sonny” Throckmorton Michael was also blessed to be deeply loved and shaped by his step-grandfather, Floyd Throckmorton—known to everyone as Sonny. Sonny brought music, wisdom, and heart into Michael’s life. He wasn’t just a grandfather figure; he was a steady, guiding presence that left a lasting mark. We honor Sonny today with full hearts, grateful for the love he gave so freely and the legacy he leaves behind. His memory will be with us in every song played, every joyful moment, and every step we take together.

For all the days along the way
