Every great love story starts with a little courage, and in our case, a swipe. Andrea and Melvin first connected on Hinge in September 2023. After a few days of easy conversation, we decided to meet in person. On October 3rd, we went on our first date - dinner at a Thai restaurant and bowling. From that night our connection only grew stronger. Through countless conversations, shared laughter, and new adventures; we built a bond that felt effortless and meant to be. On February 14, 2024, Melvin officially asked Andrea to be his girlfriend. At the time, Andrea was living in Washington, D.C and Melvin in Gaithersburg, MD. Despite the distance (because DMV traffic is no joke!), we always made the effort to see each other. Andrea then decided she wanted to be closer to her favorite person and moved to Gaithersburg. For Andrea to move for a man and someone who at the time was a boyfriend, was telling that Melvin was the one. On September 24, 2025, Melvin proposed and with tears, laughter, and joy Andrea said yes! Who knew a dating app would one day lead us to our greatest love story. And now, we can't wait to begin our next chapter and celebrate with those we love on October 3, 2026!
