FAQs

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking available at both the church and the restaurant. Each venue has a large parking lot for guests.

Question

Will the ceremony start on time?

Answer

Yes! Due to the recent policy of the Coptic Orthodox Archdiocese, there is officially no longer such a thing as "Egyptian time." The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM. Please plan to arrive at the church by 2:30 PM. This will allow enough time for parking, greeting family and friends, finding your seat, and ensuring that everyone is settled before the ceremony begins.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible to help us with planning and arrangements. Once you know whether you'll be able to attend, we'd greatly appreciate hearing from you. In any case, we kindly ask that you respond no later than July 17.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Children are welcome and we look forward to celebrating with your family.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We suggest a formal attire.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. As we prepare for an upcoming move and begin this new chapter together, we are not registering for household items. For those who wish to give a gift, a contribution toward our future and honeymoon would be greatly appreciated. You can send a gift via Venmo (see the Registry tab for details) or mail a check to the address: 1728 N Wilmot Ave unit 3E, Chicago, IL 60647.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Following the ceremony, we will gather with family and close friends for a cocktail hour and dinner. This will be a relaxed and intimate celebration, and the evening will conclude after dinner rather than with a traditional reception featuring dancing and late-night festivities. We are deeply grateful that you will be part of our special day and look forward to sharing this meaningful moment with you.
