Things To Do
It's a long way to travel, but there're myriad reasons to visit Santa Barbara beyond helping us celebrate our nuptials:
The beaches. Obviously. East Beach, West Beach, Hendry's, Hammond's, Butterfly Beach.
The Courthouse. Spanish architecture and the sunken gardens. It's a really beautiful, historic building. Andrea and Jeff spent a lot of time roaming these halls in the early days of their relationship.
Downtown State Street. It's touristy for a reason, but definitely worth a stroll from Anapamu Street down to Stearn's Wharf.
The Mission and its Rose Garden. Another relic of SB's Spanish history. A good place to soak up the sun and take in stunning views.
Hiking. The foothills provide a lot of trails that are well worth the effort. Cold Springs Trail above Montecito is our personal favorite.
Biking/Paddleboarding. At the corner of State Street and Cabrillo you'll find rentals to scratch (most) all recreational itches.
Whale-watching/fishing. There are numerous outfitters!
