We went to Rodeo Goat in Rockwall, Texas, and everything about that evening felt perfect. The view was amazing, the sun was setting, the Cowboys game was playing in the background, and I was sitting across from my beautiful Andrea. We talked for hours, and when night came, we walked along the harbor deck with the stars lighting our path. We kissed, and in that moment, it felt like a movie scene. More than anything, it felt like home.
The day we got engaged, May 23rd 2025 was already such a special day because it was also the closing date for our house. We went to lunch and spent the day so excited, shopping for things for our new home and dreaming about this new chapter together. At the end of the night, Ethan said, “Let us drive by our new house.” We could not go inside yet because it was still under construction, but just seeing it made everything feel real. As I started walking toward the house, he called my name. I turned around, and there he was on one knee, asking me to marry him. I said yes. Then came the official proposal on July 4, 2025. Ethan asked me again, this time with fireworks lighting up the sky in the background. We were both so nervous, like it was the first time all over again. And of course, we ended the night dancing to “Party in the USA.”
Andrea graduated college and is now in law school. We bought a house together and made it a home with our two French bulldogs, Mia and Alabama, who are full of personality. We made long-distance work, grew stronger through it, and celebrated Ethan becoming a Lead Engineer, cheering each other on through every milestone. Every chapter has brought us closer, and we cannot wait for what comes next.
One of the best parts of our relationship is how naturally we fit together. Ethan is not only my fiancé, he is truly my best friend. We do everything together, and no matter where we are or what we are doing, we are always laughing about something. We support each other through everything, even when life gets hard or stressful. No matter the challenge, we always find a way to be there for one another. Being with Ethan feels easy, safe, and fun, all at the same time. Ethan is always making me laugh, seriously, even in the most serious moments. Sometimes I have to close my eyes because he will make a silly face and I cannot stop laughing. That is just who we are together. Everyone who knows us always says the same thing, that we are truly made for each other. We just fit, like puzzle pieces. People always have so much fun around us because we are funny together, and I think that is one of my favorite things about us.
