Question

Covid-19.... So many questions!!!

Answer

Updated 01/20: this will be updated as much as we're able to keep up with the most up-to-date information. ( * = NEW) * obtain 4 Free Covid Tests (per address) here ==> https://special.usps.com/testkits With our Guests' safety in mind, we are asking all of our guests to have a negative Covid-19 test prior to the wedding: within 7 days (not earlier than 02/05) for fully vaccinated guests and within 3 days (not earlier than 2/09) for non-vaccinated guests. Masks are welcome--recommended in all indoor public settings, not required in outdoor public settings--per the CDC's most recent recommendation. Reminder: A red flower 🌹, pin, or ribbon can be worn on the lapel to signal that you wish to social distance. Please do not hug or shake hands with anyone wearing any red item on the front of their clothing. Some of our guests have pre-existing conditions and/or other extenuating circumstances. We ask that you respectfully give them at least 6 or more feet worth of space at all times.

Question

What measures are being taken to reduce the spread of covid?

Answer

* Your best bet is to: #1) Wear a red flower, or pin on your lapel (left, or right side--just anywhere on the front of your clothing, really). That will help to remind our other Guests that you'd like some extra space, and that you're not looking for a hug or to share their slice of wedding cake. #2) Wear a mask as much as possible -- KN95-type, or other recommended respirator masks. * CDC page updated as of Jan 14th, 2022 ==> https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/types-of-masks.html * There will also be an abundant supply of hand-sanitizer within a number of convenient locations. * Some guests may prefer to wear gloves, in addition to their mask--no problem. You do you! We want you here because of who you are, and we want everyone to feel safe enough to enjoy themselves.

Question

Are you taking any additional covid prevention measures?

Answer

* Yes! The main advantage that we have is that our Wedding Planner, Katie, has tons of experience in "post-covid" Weddings, and she's got this down to a science. We've got a lovingly labored-over gameplan for the flow of people within the Event that's custom-fit for our Guests at this particular Venue. * In fact, that's a major reason why we chose this Venue to host our Wedding. There's a large outdoor area, where we're going to have the Ceremony. Once we move in the open-space indoor area, that same outdoor area will transition into an outdoor lounge, with drinks (available outside, from the bartender) and seating out there as well. There will be plenty of room. * We've also added an additional upscale, mobile bathroom trailer outside, so that we could use the smaller, indoor single-person bathroom for our handicapped Guests. * While we cannot guarantee that you won't get covid, we can guarantee that we're doing everything we can (and ask you to as well) in order to keep you safe.

Question

What if I'm still testing positive from covid that I had weeks or more ago, but no longer infectious?

Answer

If you're not contagious, come and join the party! The CDC recommends quarantining for 10 full days, after you've been exposed to someone with covid, so please be extra careful leading up to the Event--we want you to be there! If you've been sick to severely sick recently with covid, the CDC recommends isolating for 10 days; and if you've tested positive for covid but didn't get sick, or had very mild symptoms, the CDC recommends isolating for 5 days. CDC quarantining recommendations ==> https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/quarantine-isolation.html (CDC page updated Jan 9th, 2022) If you're still testing positive after 10 Days, but you haven't had any symptoms, then it's up to you. Again, we're good with you attending, if you believe that you're no longer contagious.

Question

I want to share a video, picture, or send well wishes. Where do I send it?

This is an unmonitored text number that belongs to Andrea and Eric's marketing technology. We have re-purposed our CRM to make wedding announcements! Smart right?

Question

Will I receive a printed invitation?

Answer

After doing the research we learned many invitations and printed material end up being tossed within hours of being recieved! Follow the link below to request one to mailed by 11/15/2021. Enter your mailing address here-> www.zola.com/addr/5dbloj9vp

Answer

5 (and the occasional nephew, niece, or neighbor). We live with and raise 4 wonderfully unique and interesting, fun and rowdy boys between us, incl Enrique (16), Aiden (14), Vinny (14), Gabriel (11). There's also our smart, beautiful, and determined daughter, Tayla (17)

Answer

Our ceremony is expected to be out doors early evening during mid-February, the average high is 75° and low around 65°, the dress code will be cocktail- black tie attire.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

We are so excited about our venue because it is in the place we love most, down town Phoenix! It's a quite literal name "The Venue on Washington" /"The VOW" and has an industrial aesthetic. Both the ceremony and reception will take place here no need to travel in between events!

Answer

If the weather permits it, we will have the ceremony and cocktail hour out doors. The average high on this day is 75°F with the average low of 65°F and sun set is at 6:11 PM on this day. We will be outside for the first 1.5 - 2 hours of the event. After cocktail hour we will move indoors for the rest of the evening while continuing to make use of the out door space for yard games.

What do Eric and Andrea do for a living?

Answer

We are both mortgage bankers. Andrea has been originating since 2011 and Eric since 2018. We both currently work with Rocket Mortgage, formally Quicken Loans and really enjoy having that in common. Our work schedules are demanding but fortunately we have a lot of fun and love the culture.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

We love the modern industrial aesthetic. You may see a pattern of clean lines, geometric shapes and simple minimalistic designs.

The premises does have a smoking section near by. Please keep in mind the bride and groom will be fined if any guests are caught smoking outside of that area. This venue is not 420 friendly.

Answer

All areas of the venue are accessible by wheel chair.

Question

Downtown Phoenix... where should I park?

Answer

There will be (free to you) valet! You just drive right up through the gate, just off the North side of Washington, a half-block West of 16th St. If you have too much fun to drive your vehicle home, please make sure and pick up your keys before leaving and notify the valet. All vehicles *must picked up by 9:00AM the next day*.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

We are going to celebrate! We will have dinner, dancing, open bar and ALL. OF. THE. FUN! Please stick around for the grand exit.

Question

Should I tip?

Answer

It is kind and customary to tip bartenders when ordering drinks, valet when parking your vehicle and the DJ when requesting a song. Tips are certainly not a requirement for attendance.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We LOVE your children! We hope you can take some time off and celebrate our special day with us! Out of necessity we have limited the number of small children to immediate family/ God Children and our wedding party. However we would not want to impose, if you are a traveling family or a nursing mother, or just feel strongly about having your children attend please let us know and we would love to accommodate!

Question

How long have Andrea & Eric been dating?

Answer

We have been dating since June of 2014!

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Fun fact: the venue was chosen firstly because we are able to bring our own caterer! Taco options are carne asada, pollo and al pastor. Please have seconds!

Question

What kind of music will the DJ play?

Answer

We love all kind of music y "¡queremos bailar!" so the DJ promised to bring it with cumbias, bandas, and bachata! And of course staying true to our roots, you will hear a lot of 90's - early 2000's hip hop/pop throw backs as well as some top 40's.
