Our Story

April 12th, 2024 - Line Creek Brewery

Through mutual friends and divine alignment, Andrea and I crossed paths on a Friday night at The Reserve Brewing in Downtown Newnan. She had just gotten off work and was meeting her roommate, Matthew, for drinks. I was there with my sister and her fiancé, who happened to be friends with Andrea's group. When Andrea arrived, I eagerly met her at the door—Matthew had been talking about his friend, and I was excited to finally meet her. The moment I saw her, time stood still. She walked right past me without a glance, but I wasn't deterred. I returned to our table and made sure to clear a spot for her right next to me. As the evening unfolded, Andrea warmed up to me. We laughed, played card games, and enjoyed each other's company. At some point, she noticed a cut on her finger that was bleeding. Being the amazing, handsome, incredible stud I am, I went to the front to get her a band-aid. When I returned and carefully wrapped it around her finger, something shifted between us. From that moment on, we've been inseparable. But that wasn't the end of our story—it was just the beginning. The very next night, we went on our first official date in Atlanta, listening to live music while Andrea was on call for work. The night ended abruptly when she got called in, and in the rush, I accidentally left my wallet at her place. Being the gentleman I am, I decided to bring her breakfast the next morning on my way to retrieve it. What I didn't know was that this would be the ultimate test. Waiting at the front door were not just Andrea, but also Layla—her daughter—and Andrea's mother. In that moment, I realized I didn't just need to win Andrea's heart. I needed to win over Layla's as well. And somehow, by the grace of God and maybe that band-aid, I did.
