How did we meet? That’s the million-dollar question we always ask. The answer is actually pretty simple. Even though we had hundreds of mutual friends, we didn’t know each other. what is funny, I first saw him first on Facebook. Imagine that! When I saw his photo, I thought, “Damn''. he’s handsome. I told myself, I had to meet him. That was during the summer of 2021. We exchange comments and DMs, and eventually I asked if we could meet. He agreed. We met at Starbucks, which led to exchanging phone number. YES! the rest, as they say, is history. Our first date came soon after, with dinner and long talks. From there, it was a whirlwind of fun, date, camping, laughing, and making memories. We bonded and enjoyed each other’s company, and we began a close friendship. Before we knew it, we found unexpected love.

Knowing in my heart that I was ready to share my life with someone special. I wanted to make this a special day for her and for it to be the start to our beginning. Toiling with various ideas, it was apparent that I needed some tips from various friends. Well, today was the date night that was in the making. She had not a clue on what to wear nor did she know where we were going. Arriving at the Arroyo Chop House on August 16, 2024. I made it clear for her to order what she wanted after being seated. Her eyes lite up when the waiter brought her favorite flowers (Star Gazers) and next came the Champagne. She began to wonder what was going on. She said, I know that you are not going to do this. The response "what am I going to do"? Well, I am not sure. Reaching in my pocket, I pulled out a box and asked her "Will you marry me". Not realizing that others were around, she began to cry and her response was, "Yes"! and she began to cry even more when she focused and realized that friends and family were witnessing the special moment. Our beginning just began.
