We met at a bar called "Chances Are", ironic? Maybe! We were introduced by one of my bridesmaid, who is also Brad's cousin. We had gone out to celebrate my birthday and he was also there. I didn't pay very much attention to him, not because I didn't like him, I just wasn't looking. A few days later, he sent me a face book friend request and we messaged each other a few times and he finally asked for my number. His cousin arranged a double date, we went to eat at Cheddar's and watched "Identity Thief." He was so nervous, but I knew he was a gentleman and different from anyone else! After our first date he opened my car door and kissed me goodnight on the forehead. I thought to myself, "this sure was nice, let's see what this guy is all about." And here we are 10 years later!!! That kiss on the forehead sealed the deal!!!
Brad arranged a date night at a really nice restaurant in Dallas, Eddie V's. They sat us in a corner table with rose petals arranged as a heart. I didn't think anything of it, I just thought that's what they did for couples who made reservations. I noticed that the waiter would come and and check in on us quite a bit and would give Brad a little nod every now and then, but because Brad isn't the type to surprise me or make plans, I brushed it off. After our meal, Brad got up to go to the bathroom and on his way back, I noticed the waiter had Brad's phone, but I thought he was just going to take a picture. What he was really doing was recording "the proposal!!" Brad spoke some sweet words, pulled out a box and asked me to be his wife!!! The entire restaurant cheered and clapped! Apparently the staff was in on it and everything had been sweetly arranged just for us!! The staff at the restaurant was so attentive and our waiter was amazing! Brad definitely planned such a perfect and memorable night for us!!! We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you!! See you in January!
