We first met in 2022 through our church's singles ministry. What began as a simple fellowship quickly evolved into a friendship marked by laughter, profound conversations, and a shared purpose. Our church family always surrounded us, whether in small groups or large gatherings, and over time, we became each other’s favorite person to hang out with. Before we ever called it dating, we shared unforgettable adventures. From a joyful Disney trip in March 2023 to exploring Seattle together for the first time in July 2024, and even participating in Spartan Races with our church friends. We were building memories without realizing we were also building something deeper. From hiking the Lafayette Reservoir to visiting art museums, our friendly hangouts were always fun, but looking back, they were quietly meaningful moments that God was stitching together. One of our last hangouts before officially dating was a simple outing to find clothes for a concert. Something about that day felt different, quieter, more thoughtful, like a shift had taken place. In the midst of laughter and trying things on, there was a sense that something was unfolding. It felt less like a casual errand and more like a moment God had quietly marked: a turning point we wouldn’t fully recognize until later. Sure enough, Outside Lands in August 2024 became our first official event together as a couple. Surrounded by music, friends, and an unspoken joy, we both knew this was no longer just a friendship. This was the beginning of something lasting. Music was always a part of our connection, especially Kaytranada, whose concerts we found ourselves dancing through again and again. But nothing compares to the night of August 18, 2024. At exactly 12 midnight, while inside the car, we had “the talk.” And just like that, we crossed the line from almost to choosing each other for real. Since then, it’s been a beautiful, crazy, faith-filled adventure. We’ve laughed harder, prayed deeper, and grown closer. Not just to each other, but to the One who brought us together in the first place. More than the fun, the friendship, or the memories, what truly brought us together was our shared love for the Lord. It’s what made us see each other differently. It’s why we chose each other. And it’s why we know this love was never just ours. It was God-ordained from the very beginning. Now, we can't wait to say yes to forever.
