We first met at my friend Muriel's birthday party, at her house - aka "The Compound". When Ralph walked in we immediately locked eyes and I promptly played the "damsel in distress" and claimed that I needed a ride to the store. He promptly played the "knight in shining armor..or should I say gold chain" and volunteered to give me a ride. -We sat in his car just talking for what seemed like only a couple of minutes but was really over an hour. After a phone call from Muriel asking where have I been, we finally made it to the store and back and were inseparable the entire night. We ran into his sister and brother-in-law and he sweetly introduced me as his future wife! 2yrs later...we're going to make that a true statement!

We were getting ready to ring in 2020 - by going back to 1920 Harlem Night's Style! A lot of our family and friends were there (and apparently knew what was about to happen), Ten minutes before midnight Ralph took the mic, told me that he didn't want to spend another year not making our relationship official, got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!
