We're getting married!

Our story began on Ohio State’s North Campus, where Buckeyes thrive in the scent of Tommy’s Pizza, the sounds of Thirsty Scholars, and the sustenance provided by the Shell gas station’s Subway store. We were introduced via mutual friends in the Fall of 2009, but at the time, neither of us paid much attention to the other. Matt, after all, had graduated and ditched his cargo shorts and "party polo" as he began his ascent up the corporate ladder. Andrea was a sophomore and was focused on school (I guess?) and screaming at the tiny television in her apartment during Buckeye football games. We crossed paths multiple times over the next couple years, including at Kevin and Kristin’s wedding in October 2011, when Andrea leaned over to their friend Justin and said, “Has Matt Clingerman always been that handsome?" and Justin replied, “Well, he got a haircut and good jeans, so he looks much better now." Finally, in November 2012, we met up with friends to celebrate Matt and Justin’s birthdays, which are two days apart. We spoke that night and spent most of the weekend talking while our friends whispered about us being a good fit for each other. After that, we began spending more and more time together as a couple. We realized we shared a mutual love for exploring new restaurants, tasting new beers at local breweries, traveling to new places, and watching (or in Andrea’s case, screaming at) Ohio State football games. In over five years together, we’ve explored our amazing city, traveled across the world, celebrated promotions and job changes, and picked out a house in Clintonville where we’re excited to write the next chapter of our story together. We are so grateful to our families for welcoming each of us with open arms and we look forward to celebrating with you when we make it official in May.
