Is it destiny when a boy from India decides to go for coffee and finds true love in the least expected person? That’s the sorry story of a failed coffee chat at Northside Social that turned into an actual date with the Bolivian girl he didn't know he wanted. Andrea and Avi are modern kids, who one day swiped right on an app, which led to a new beginning of hope. They soon realized they would become besties with a hint of hot sauce. Their love for cooking, traveling and animals united them and formed what is nowadays known as #TeamAndravi.
It was a sunny October afternoon when Avi teamed up with his wingman Charlie, the puppy, to propose to Andrea at the Georgetown waterfront (given that they are both water signs and Mercury was no longer in retrograde). Avi got down to dress Charlie on a tux and did not get up again. Andrea thought Avi was having knee problems until she realized what Avi was actually doing. It was then that Avi started his speech and mentioned the story of a previous date, where Andrea had prepared a Bolivian dish that contained “chuño”. At the time, Avi had never tried such a delicacy and his palate did not seem to understand it. Andrea found the story amusing and started to laugh as she could not believe that Avi had stated that it was that moment where he started to fall in love. Soon after, Avi was laughing too and forgot the rest of his speech. He proceeded to extend the ring and asked Andrea to “take it, take it”. In the midst of laughter, she asked him to put the ring on her finger, which caught Avi off-guard and made him forget which hand and finger the ring goes on. At last,#teamAndravi found the right finger and the happy couple got engaged!
