What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal. Examples: men-dress pants, button up shirt, black-tie optional, women-cocktail dress (any length) or dressy shirt and blouse. The venue also has wet soft grass so maybe rethink stilettoes or any uncomfortable shoes. Feel free to be as formal as you want though! No crocs, no PJ's. Basically don't look like trash.

Why wasn't I allowed a plus 1?

Answer

We have a guest count limit and are doing our best to invite as many people as we can given our budget. There were a lot of factors we took into account when considering plus-ones for guests. We hope you can understand.

What would you like as a wedding gift? Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

The greatest gift you can give us is coming to the wedding! If you'd like to give us a gift, we'd love a contribution towards our honeymoon and/or home renovation fund! You can donate on the registry website page above.

Will there be an employee to watch the children?

Answer

No, parents are told explicitly to keep an eye on their kids.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Our venue has strict alcohol policies. For cocktail hour, you can choose one signature cocktail, that is styled based on the tastes of either Claire or Shane. During dinner, wine or beer are available, but shots, mixed drinks, and hard alcohol are not permitted. The reception bar will close at 8:35 PM, and no drinks can be ordered after that time.

Are there overnight places that are available near the venue?

Answer

Yes! There are several hotels in or near Los Gatos. Scroll to the top of this page and click on travel. Once you are there scroll down past "Directions to Nestldown" to find a list of the closest available hotels. Best Western Plus Inn Scotts Valley is the first hotel listed and a room block has been booked there so guests can book a room at a discounted link! You can call the number listed or click to hotel link to book. Just know some rooms are already taken for the couple, wedding party, and parents.

Are there any other rules I should know about?

Answer
