It all started online — Matthew and I met on a dating site where he was incredibly persistent (and patient!) about taking me on a date. I’ll admit, I blew him off more than once, but he never gave up. Eventually, I said yes, and we planned our first date at a cozy Mexican restaurant. Now, I might have complicated things a little by bringing a friend along — something Matthew later admitted made him think I wasn’t all that interested. But that couldn’t have been further from the truth! After dinner, the two of us ended up driving around town, singing along to music, laughing, and stealing those shy, nervous glances that say everything without a word. When he dropped me off at my car, he surprised me with a goodbye kiss — I thought he’d be too nervous, but he wasn’t. That moment sealed it. From then on, we were pretty much inseparable. Five years later, here we are — still laughing, still singing in the car, and so excited to say “I do.” 💍❤️
