Waterrock Knob
Our favorite spot to drive to on the parkway to watch the sunset. If you feel up to it take a hike to the top (about 45 mins round trip). It's not too hard, we promise!
The Well House
Hungry for a sub or soup? Check out this hole in the well (literally) for a great lunch spot!
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
We spent a lot of time here, and it's not too far from Sylva. If you have a free day we recommend exploring parts of the park!
Paradise Falls Trailhead
Feeling adventurous? Take this hike to our favorite swimming hole and cliff jumping spot. Make sure you are up for the climb, it's not for the faint of heart! (day trip)
Tuckasegee River Access
Feeling like spending a day fishing? Or maybe you want to take a tubing trip down the river. We spent a lot of time swimming, tubing and fishing here, it is definitely one of our favorite spots in Sylva!
Nantahala Outdoor Center
Want to go whitewater rafting? Or maybe just walk around and enjoy the river, this is a favorite spot you could find us at when we had free time!

Feeling lucky? Lots of restaurants to choose from, or test your skills at their bowling alley!
Road to Nowhere
History buff? Check out this unfinished tunnel a short drive from Bryson City and explore the nearby waterfalls and hiking trails! Take a walk through the dark tunnel and enjoy the town of Bryson City while you are there
