Matthew is Dakota’s best friend from California. He is a strong servant of the Lord, faithful to his friendships, and a wonderfully gifted musician. Matthew and Dakota met through a mutual group of friends at the church they attend. Dakota connected to Matthew initially over music because Matthew is a beast of a musician. Now Matthew and Dakota share a house together with several other guys.

Janae and Andie met five years ago in a class during their junior year of college at The Master’s University. They quickly bonded over their mutual love for Biblical Counseling, being RA’s together, and always accidentally matching clothes.

Best Man
Noah is Dakota’s best friend from Tennessee. They both grew up together in the same middle school, high school, and partially through college. Noah and Dakota share in their love for the Lord Jesus Christ, High School Musical, baseball, and music. Noah is one of the only people who can make Dakota filled with endless laughter and burning anger.

Andie met Nat 7 years ago when they took the same tour of Boyce College in KY. It was an instant friendship that led to many, many belly laughs, cross-country visits, and conversations about God’s faithfulness. You will rarely meet someone with such an intense trust in God and his Word.

Bones is one of Dakota’s oldest lifelong friends. They became friends in 1st grade through sharing the same classroom. They grew up through the same elementary school, middle school, high school, and partially through college. Their sophomore year at UTK, they became apartment mates along with 2 others guys. Bones grew up playing basketball and now works at his local church and has become an avid golfer as well.

Mina is Andie’s current incredible roommate! They met two years ago when they both joined the Jr High ministry staff at their church, where they formed a friendship through singing on the worship team together. Mina has been the source of many encouraging/comforting conversations, for Andie and for Dakota as he picked out the ring!
KD Gwinn

KD and Andie met two years ago through the Jr High ministry at their church. KD is not only an incredibly loyal human, but she also makes the absolute best cookies in the world. You can always find her with a cup of coffee in hand, welcoming others into her home.

Nate and Dakota met through a mutual group of friends in the church they both attended in California. Nate has been Dakota’s housemate for the last year along with Matt (best man). Nate and Dakota share in their love for good food, good movies, good vibes and bond over pestering Matt.

Jess and Andie met at church on the Jr High ministry staff two years ago! Jess is an ultimate hype-girl, someone who celebrates life with ultimate enthusiasm. Jess was the first one to point out Dakota to Andie when he first joined Jr High staff!

Jonny and Dakota met through a mutual bible study at the church they attend in California. Jonny and Dakota’s friendship has grown as they have shared a room over the last year along with other house mates Nate (groomsman) and Matt (best man).

Andie is so blessed to have Laura as her new sister-in-law! Laura was instant family from the first meeting, and has been such a sweet addition to the family. She has a huge heart for the kids she works with and serves others so selflessly.

Joey and Dakota met through a mutual bible study at the church they attend in California. They share the same main group of friends, and Dakota lives with Joey’s older brother Jonathan Kaya (groomsman). They both major and work in accounting, love the Lord Jesus Christ, enjoy playing music, and hanging with the boys from the Valley Bible Study.

Anna and Andie became friends five years ago through being a part of the chorale and theatre programs at The Master’s University. They have so many memories traveling all over the country with the chorale, and even going to Hawaii last summer to work a wedding together! Anna and Andie got engaged the same weekend this past spring!
Matthew Johnson

Matthew is the Bride’s oldest brother. He was the first family member of Andie’s that Dakota got the privilege to meet. Matthew was also just recently married earlier this year in February to bridesmaid Laura Johnson. He currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri and is in residency there. Through a short period of time, Dakota has come to know Matthew as someone who loves baseball, is incredibly intelligent, energetic, kind-hearted and devoted to growing in his relationship with God.
Noah Johnson

Noah is the Bride’s youngest brother. He is super talented on the piano and guitar, and he even writes his own music. The first time Dakota met Noah was over the phone. Fortunately, Dakota met Noah face to face in February of 2022 at his older brother’s wedding. Dakota is grateful for the role Noah has played in Andie’s life and is excited to grow closer to him himself.
