Harrison first saw Andi’s profile on the dating app Hinge and asked what church she went to. Unfortunately, Andi was taking a break from online dating at the time so she never responded. Harrison found her on Instagram and saw that his cousin, Michael, was a mutual friend so he asked for an introduction. They began talking and had their first date at a beachfront restaurant in Long Beach, midway between Los Angeles and Orange County. The first date went well and Harrison was so nervous that for one of the few times in his life he did not finish his food. It turns out they had more mutual friends and shared connections even though Harrison grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and Andi grew up in Southern California. They also connected over their faith and shared values. Unfortunately, after the date Andi got into a car accident and told Harrison she wasn’t in the best place to date. Harrison decided to write her a letter in the mail and asked if she would be open to reconnecting in the new year. A few weeks after January 1st, Harrison reached out again and they started dating and became an official couple! Throughout this relationship, one of the songs that was a recurring theme was “Grow As We Go” by Ben Platt. In June of 2020, Harrison learned the song on violin and with the help of his family proposed to Andi in Chicago a day before his 30th birthday.
