We were both students at Mississippi State University and met when we joined the same community service organization. We stayed friends for years before we started dating in 2018. Katie thought Justin was hilarious, and that he made every room he entered so much more fun to be in. Justin thought Katie was cute and way, way too smart for him. Years of bonding over club activities, game nights, and a shared love of Netflix comedy specials showed us just how perfect we were for each other!
We had spent an amazing, relaxing weekend together. We found a new recipe to cook together, binged a few episodes of our favorite show, played a couple games of tennis (Justin destroyed), and went for a swim. Late Sunday afternoon, Justin asked, "This has been the best weekend ever, hasn't it?" Katie smiled and said, "It really has!" Then, Justin pulled out the ring, got down on one knee, and said, "So, I can't think of a more perfect time." His proposal definitely did make it the perfect weekend, even if Katie cried tears of joy for a solid twenty minutes after.
