Sean and Jamie met on September 25, 2021, at West Virginia University, where Sean was finishing the final year of his engineering degree and Jamie had just begun her first year of law school. They went on their first date at a Chinese restaurant called Great Wall and ended the evening by making brownies together. Shortly after they met, Jamie was called away from school due to the passing of her father. Rather than allowing distance and difficult circumstances to separate them, Sean stepped up and supported Jamie through that challenging time. During their school’s fall recess, Sean visited Jamie and asked her to officially be his girlfriend on October 9, 2021, at the docks of National Harbor—where they would later become engaged. After Sean graduated from WVU in 2022, the couple maintained a long-distance relationship for two years while Jamie completed law school. They cherished every weekend they were able to spend together. Some of their favorite memories include picking flowers at a local farm and attending Jamie’s law school Barristers’ Ball. After graduating from law school in 2024, Jamie moved back to Maryland, and the two continued their relationship. They spent many holidays together, including making it a tradition to dress up every Halloween. On November 28, 2025, Sean took Jamie to National Harbor, where they spent the day exploring the area and making a candle to commemorate the day. Later, Sean proposed in the garden of the Gaylord Hotel and Resort. Jamie was overjoyed—and even more surprised when both of their families emerged to celebrate the momentous occasion with them. Sean and Jamie share a deep love for one another and cannot wait to celebrate that love with their friends and family. They look forward to celebrating their wedding with you soon!
